Battle types

1.ship battle:this is to add more variation in battles lets start ship vs ship has same cooldown as raid and ship vs port is same as siege

Ship battles take place in a faction "owned" ocean and if a certain faction wants to attack a port city they need to attack from both land and sea.for islands that a faction owns(ex.himling and tofalas i dont mean unknown islands) you need to take the water around it(for rp reasons)

a.Intership battles:for ship vs ship battles you can only have a small army due to limitation on a ship(you need to build a faction ship that will be pasted in when the battle happens) this is to gain control of the waters of said faction your attacking(rivers count as well but with smaller ships instead of warships)you need to take the enemies boat or boats(each high ranking player in a faction can have one) in order to win and you can keep or destory that boat(when destroyed you need to remake your boat again)

b.land vs ship battle:you need to attack from land and sea in order to take a port city so plan it accordingly(btw just because its more complicated doesnt mean it cant be fun also this might bring more people to the server who like roleplay)its like a regular siege except the ship that your attacking from can be taken once you lose

c.owning waters the ocean will be cut up into different sections that are unow

ned (minus himlings waters) until someone puts a blockade up

d.Blockades:Needed to make island territories(if they are in a part of the ocean that blocks your "path" you have to fight them(ship vs ship) or ask them nicely to pass

2.raids:im suggesting a reward for doing this besides weakening your enemies forces before a giant siege

a.a raid cooldown is 3 hours instead of the siege time 6

b.money or looting:you decide with the defender if you get money or a certain amount of loot from your enemy if you win(money only for winning defenders)

c.troop limit is actually on raids 30-50 since its a raid not a full out siege come on people

3.siege: 6 hour cooldown before next siege remains the same

a.10 minute preparation after siege is declared and the enemy starts 50 blocks away from gate(do you want them breathing down your neck as your getting ready?)

b.siege weapons:instead of starving the enemy out you build a siege weapon out of blocks which has to be built after the battle has started, and has to be able to stay around for # minutes(depending on siege weapon the faster you get in chart in mechanics area). At that point, all gates in front of the engine must be opened. No building double gates and claiming that the attackers need to wait another # minutes. They also can't be banner protected, and external protection should be taken down so they can build. (double gates will buy you an extra minute but not #)The engine should also have a resemblence to a catapult, ballista, or battering ram. If you put down 5 blocks, it doesn't work.(suggested mechanic by dire)in order to stop the siege weapons you need to break down the main thing(shaft for balista and cranks for catalpult and trebuchet and for battering ram the handles)Starving out still remains an option but will take longer (5 minecraft days)Siege weapons can be disabled(destroyed meaning its gone for good) wins the siege or breaks the main part of the siege weapon mentioned above(if the attackers win the siege they get their siege weapon back unless the siege weapon was disabled by breaking the main part)

c.reinforements need to wait 3 minutes before joining in(unless they are the faction right next to you)

4.field battle:a field battle must be called to take a territory with no cities(it must be a sep biome (woodlands hills and mountain slope areas dont count as other territories)

a.same amount of troops as a siege and have a cooldown of a raid

New rules and mechanics

1.targets:if you have enemy or neutral lands around you,you need to ask for permission to "cross"(you can fast travel but you need a clear "Path" to fast travel your troops in) or fight the enemy to clear a path(raid or field battle allow this siege isn't needed)

2.^same goes for sea battles except in the ocean instead of land

3.in order to use siege weapons you need a certain item in a chest for it to "work"

balista:20 crossbow bolts(5 minutes)

catapult/trebuchet:20 cobblestone(8 Minutes for catapult and 6 Minutes for trebuchet)

battering ram:20 of any food item(7 minutes)

defending siege weapons:they can disable attacker siege weapons with quadruple the amount of ammo and half the time

balista:80 crossbow bolts(2.5 minutes)

Catapult/Trebuchet:80 cobblestone( 4 minutes for catapult and 3 for trebuchet)

Boiling Oil:15 buckets of lava(needs to have Bucket type shape 2 minutes)

Edit:

Amount of sieges at once:during a war one side can only have 2 sieges going at once

Time limit:if 2 sieges are happening at once and there is no one defending one of them if they are not there in the next 5-10 minutes it is taken automatically.

Staff members and builder + need to spectate the battle and w/e siege engines in if needed
